Have an F2400?
Let’s put it to the test.
You don’t need to be a developer. You do need a compatible battery and a little time to use the app and tell me how it goes.
What is the F2400?
A portable power station with a 2,048 Wh battery and up to 2,400 W AC output, for running appliances and charging devices away from mains power.
Your battery
A Bluetooth-enabled FOSSiBOT F2400. Development has been tested with an F2400-B; other hardware versions may differ. Please include your exact model when you email.
Your Android phone
Android 12 or newer, Bluetooth and a Google Play account. A compatible Android Auto car or head unit is a welcome extra, rather than a requirement for phone testing.
Your experience
Try the readings, output controls, settings and reconnection in everyday use. If possible, stay enrolled for at least 14 days and send back what works and what needs attention.

A better companion.
Email Steve to request a place. Include the Google email address you use in the Play Store, your battery model and your phone’s Android version. The button below opens a draft with those prompts.

Before you join
A few useful details.
Does it replace BrightEMS?
This is an independent alternative for Bluetooth monitoring and supported controls. It does not install battery firmware. Close BrightEMS while using the companion so the apps do not compete for the same Bluetooth connection.
Does it need an account or Wi-Fi?
The companion app connects directly over Bluetooth and does not need an app account, Wi-Fi, MQTT or Home Assistant. You need a Google account to join the test and install updates through Google Play.
Will every F2400 work?
Compatibility depends on the battery’s Bluetooth hardware and firmware. It has been developed with an F2400-B. Please send your exact model rather than assuming every generation supports the same protocol.
How should I interpret the readings?
Readings and remaining time come from the power station’s protocol. Per-output wattages are reconciled estimates of the reported total, with Lamp estimated at 1 W. Only battery and DC/PV fault groups are decoded.
Is this an official FOSSiBOT app?
No. FOSSiBOT F2400 Companion is independently developed by Steve Madden. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by FOSSiBOT or Google. Product names identify compatibility and belong to their respective owners.
